Who operates the Service

RoofQuote Check is operated by YI Media (“we”, “us”). Questions about these terms can be sent to our contact page.

An informational tool only

The Service helps you read and compare roofing proposals. It is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, insurance, engineering or construction advice, and it is not a contractor referral, ranking or selection service. We do not recommend, endorse or certify any contractor.

The Service:

• does not inspect your roof or property;
• does not verify any contractor's workmanship, licensing, insurance, bonding or compliance with building codes;
• only analyzes the information contained in the documents you upload.

Results may be incomplete or wrong

Proposals are read using automated document analysis, including AI. Reading, extraction and analysis can miss information, misread it, or be wrong. We don't guarantee that any result is complete, accurate or error-free.

“Estimated Comparable Price”, normalized prices and price adjustments are estimates for comparison only. They are not quotes, bids or offers, and they may differ from what any contractor would actually charge. Final project costs depend on the contractor, the property and conditions found during the work.

Before you make a decision, confirm the scope, materials, warranties and pricing that matter to you directly with the contractor, in writing.

Documents you upload

By uploading a document, you confirm that:

• you are authorized to upload it and to have it analyzed by the Service; and
• uploading it doesn't violate any agreement, confidentiality obligation or law that applies to you.

Proposals often include information about other people and businesses, such as a contractor's name, contact details, pricing and terms. Please upload only proposals you have received for your own project, or that you are otherwise allowed to share.

How we handle uploaded documents and the information in them is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload anything unlawful, malicious, or that you don't have the right to share;
• upload malware or files designed to harm or overload the Service;
• try to access data that isn't yours, bypass security or access controls, or probe or attack the Service;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service or its results at scale, or use automated means to access it without our permission;
• use the Service to harass, defame or mislead anyone, including contractors;
• misrepresent results as an endorsement, certification or rating by YI Media.

We may limit, suspend or block access if we believe these terms are being violated.

Service availability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it at any time, and it may sometimes be unavailable or slow. The Service may not be available in every location. Results are kept only for a limited time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, comparison standard, methodology and content, belongs to YI Media or its licensors. You may use your results for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, such as discussing a proposal with a contractor.

You keep whatever rights you have in the documents you upload. You give us permission to store, process and analyze them, and the information in them, to provide and improve the Service and for the other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, YI Media will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings or data, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its results — including decisions about hiring a contractor or the cost or quality of any roofing work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us to use it, if any. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above. Using the Service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
